Seth Berkley

A medical doctor and epidemiologist, Seth Berkley joined Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance as CEO in 2011.Under his leadership, Gavi has reached more than half a billion children in the 73 poorest countries in its 15 years of existence. Prior to Gavi, he founded the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative in 1996,where he served as president and CEO for 15years. He has worked for the Rockefeller Foundation,the Center for Infectious Diseases of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and for the Carter Center, where he was assigned to the Ministry of Health in Uganda.
