Rudiger Krech
Rüdiger Krech has been director a.i. of the Department of Environment, Climate Change, Migration and One Health at the World Health Organization since August 2025. From 2019 to 2025, he was the director of health promotion. He was previously director of universal health coverage and health systems. From 2009 to 2014, he was director of social determinants of health, human rights, ethics and equity. Before joining WHO, he worked at the German Agency for International
Cooperation (GiZ) and at the WHO Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen.
