Catharina Boehme

Catharina Boehme is assistant director-general of External Relations and Governance for the World Health Organization. From 2021 to 2023, she served as the director-general’s chef de cabinet. Previously, she was CEO of the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND). She was co-convener of the Access to COVID-19 Tools Accelerator to drive equitable access to Covid-19 testing. Early in her career, Dr Boehme worked in Ghana and Tanzania on research to eliminate tuberculosis. She has served on several WHO and global advisory bodies, and participated in two Lancet commissions.
