James Hospedales

C. James Hospedales is chair of the Defeat-NCD Partnership governing board. From 2013 to 2019, he was the inaugural executive director of the Caribbean Public Health Agency and led it to become a recognised player in global public health. He was previously the coordinator of the Chronic Disease Prevention and Control at the Pan American Health Organization. From 1998 to 2006, he was director of the Caribbean Epidemiology Centre. Dr Hospedales was also a member of the Caribbean Commission on Health and Development.
