Giorgio Parisi
Giorgio Parisi is the chair of the Science 20 Italy 2021, and a 2021 Nobel laureate for physics. A professor of theoretical physics at the Sapienza University, he is a former president of the Accademia dei Lincei. He began his scientific career at Italy’s National Institute for Nuclear Physics, and also spent time at Columbia University, the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques and the École Normale Supérieure. From 1981 to 1992 he taught theoretical physics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
